Alder is almost completely out here, Hickory is still hot enough to cook a burger or two.
Both would last much longer in a closed B-B-Que grill or smoker. Saving charcoal is not
too much of a concern to me so I prefer this grill.


I run out of film here, 5 more minutes and both were mostly white ash covered and maple was yellow hot while apple was light red. Both were plenty hot enough to be cooked over here.
